Josh and Sydney originally reached out to me to photograph their wedding in October of this year inn Raleigh! But they also wanted to have an engagement session beforehand, so we met in the middle of St. Pete and Raleigh which is Atlanta! My hometown and one of my favorite places in the world! There are so many incredible spots here, but we decided on Studioplex; a super unique outdoor business center right off the beltline. It has an incredible overgrown industrial vibe that Sydney & Josh really wanted for their Atlanta engagement session. Plus it has very low foot traffic, but is open to the public and absolutely GORGEOUS.

We decided to end the session at Piedmont Park which yes is a little overdone, but honestly for a reason! Do you see these incredible views of the city along with the most whimsical trees? Plus there is such a wide variety of picturesque places at Piedmont Park for an Atlanta Engagement session including a magical lake with a gazebo right on the water as well as a huge park great for all those cute running shots.

Josh & Sydney’s Story

Josh (They/Them) and Sydney (She/Her) met over 7 years ago at a graduation party. They hit is off immediately and started dating shortly after that! Josh proposed to Sydney at a Porter Robinson concert in Josh’s hometown; Raleigh. Right as Porter Robinson started playing their favorite song, rain began to pour down on to them. That was when Josh got down on one knee and proposed. Sydney said it was an absolutely magical night and she can’t wait for their wedding celebration. Which honestly me too! If their wedding is just half as romantic as their engagement it will be an absolutely noteworthy wedding! These too really seem to be head over heels in love and it absolutely warms my heart. Their wedding is this year right before halloween and I could not be more excited! They are so thoughtful with each other and honestly I think everyone should learn from how they treat each other!
